On this forum, you earn FP dollars for every post you make. If you make a lot of them, then you can sell them in the marketplace for actual cash. Nonetheless, I'm not sure how many posts you have to make to earn a decent amount of money. Note I saw one guy selling 1000 FP dollars for 3 USD, but I'm not sure how many FP dollars you get for one post.

I never heard of this before though I've checked some paid forum postings throughout the web. Is this website similar to Postloop or The Forum Wheel? And what is an FP dollar? Thanks for sharing anyway! :)

According to their FAQ a topic gets 4FP and a post gets 2, so you'd have to do a lot of work to get 1,000.

It looks a little complicated, and when I tried following the link from their FAQ for their Misc Marketplace to see how you were meant to trade FP for cash, I got a "page could not be found" error. That doesn't give me a lot of confidence. I want to know these things before I choose to sign up, not take it on trust.

The site has recently been converted over to another forum software so some links are outdated. The correct link to the marketplace is here - http://forumpromotion.net/forum/forums/miscellaneous-marketplace.119/

As FP cash has very little value to users and as there is alot floating around between users, it will be hard to make any serious money from it.

I haven't tried this, but the way I see it, it will be a lot of posts before you earn something good. If what you posted is true, 500 posts would give you 1000 FP which is only equal to $3? a waste of talent and time if you ask me.

Sorry about that. We moved from phpBB to Xenforo and as a result, there were a few pages that were not updated. However, we have now updated it and you can view our guide here. Indeed, you get 4FP per thread and 2FP per posts but there are other ways to earn FP. One of the main ways to earn FP is to exchange it at our Forum Cash Exchange Forum. People offer 10-40FP$ per post to post on their forums so you can post on other people's forums to earn FP which takes a much shorter time to earn enough FP to sell. Also, you can view our Misc Marketplace here.

A lot of people obtained their FP via sell services on our forum. Other than the Forum Cash Exchange Forum I mentioned above, people also offer service in our other marketplaces such as the Forum & Blog services Marketplace and the Graphics Marketplace. It will take a while if you post on our forum but if you offer services for FP, it doesn't take long to earn money.

FP dollar is our forum currency, we are mainly a Promotion and webmaster forum and not a paid to post forum. However, people can exchange our forum currency for real money. We are different to The Forum Wheel and Postloop since we do not have an automated posting system but people offer services in our marketplaces for FP.

As mentioned above, you can offer services for FP$ which is a lot quicker.

This site looks interesting at the outset until the emergence of that FP dollars which just make it confusing. And so your 1,000 FP dollar is just worth 3 USD? Worse, you have to sell it in the site's marketplace. What if there are no buyers and you get stuck with 10,000 FP which is equivalent to 30 USD? That would be a big disappointment. Sorry but my interest waned with that FP dollar thing.

When I go to forumpromotion.net, the band of links on the homepage, starting with Promotion Directory and ending with Advertising Services are all broken. Could you update those, please?

At 300FP for 24 posts and with 1000FPs selling for $3 that's 3 cents a post/thread. Rather cheap compared to most promo packages for forum owners, although it won't be great for users wanting to get paid. It does look like FP dollars are more valuable when they are exchanged for services than cashed out and cashing out relies on someone buying them, so Forumpromotion.net is probably going to be more useful to people with a forum to promote (obviously!) than people looking for beermoney.

I, personally, would only ever work for a currency with a set cash value. Even if you plan to trade the value of them in for posts on your own forums, it allows you to know what their value really is.

I guess the real value of forum posting has plunged given that their are hardly any sites still around that pay cash for this kind of work. the days of making easy money online are very much over. I think product-based earning (ebooks, stock photos etc) are the way to go these days.

It seems like there are still some places for the sites like this, but more and more they seem to be going away. I think that it is just one of those things where you need to move on and adapt.

You can get around 300 words of forum posting for 100 FP$, the currency on the website, which is equivalent to 3 USD. However, ironically, one person was selling the currency with the ratio of 5 USD to 1000 FP$. However, I think she was trying to make a quick sale. Nonetheless, it seems like the selling price of FP$ is out of whack with most sellers with people always selling for cheap. Therefore, is it worth if for someone to work with the expectation of selling the currency for USD?

I do agree on what you said, It is good if people would want your services. But getting stuck with a ton load of FP which only costs a few bucks is a real waste of time, time is money for me so I don't want to waste my time doing something like that.

I'm not knocking the actual site at all because it primarily a site to promote rather than earn money from posting on there, and while I'd go on there to do that, exchanging my points for cash is something that I wouldn't really think about doing. For the amount of work you'd have to put in there just to make a couple of dollars here and there, I simply don't think that it would be worth it.

I like the site for what it is, but not as a site to make money off but good luck to those that do of course.

Unfortunately, we do not officially purchase FP cash so it can only be exchanged in the marketplace to other members. However, a lot of members on the forum would like to purchase FP$ so there is definitely a good chance of making money out of it.

Thanks for letting us know. The links has now been updated. Yes, we are a Promotion forum so our main focus in to help webmasters promote their website. However, a lot of people still make decent amounts of money selling FP cash on the forum.

Another way to make money on Forum Promotion is to sell service in our Marketplace. For example, you can sell posts or blog articles here.

Our forum is still very active and there are still many opportunities to make money.

There are lots of people who managed to make money out of selling FP cash but as I said before, you can directly sell posts or blog articles in our marketplace for real money which eliminates the risk of no one buying your FP cash.

Well I might take a look at this site if people buy articles since I do some of that.

Actually, Forum Promotion cannot promise too much FP$ for posting because there are no limits on the posting. For instance, why should they pay a lot of money if someone is writing 100 posts with 1 or 2 lines? However, if they could devise a way to count the words someone writes and then reward them for the amount, then they would have a good justification to pay more FP$ per post.

Thanks for the suggestion! We will consider this.

You can also post on other people's forums for FP$ or real money in our exchange forums.

The use of $FP cash seems to be some kind of underground economy. However, I'm not saying that's a bad thing. For instance, looking at a comparison from history, wouldn't the creation of an alternate economy been a swell idea during The Great Depression? :)

Oh, by the way, does anyone know of any other popular or developing websites using this cash method?

FP$ is like our forum currency which can be exchanged for cash via PayPal etc.

I don't know any other websites that are using this cash method.
